New research from Roy Morgan shows a record high of 1.57 million (30.2%) mortgage holders were ‘At Risk’ of ‘mortgage stress’ in the three months to August 2023. This period encompassed one interest rate increase of 0.25%, taking official interest rates to 4.1% in June.
